Chris Manning MRICS
Chris has over 30 years experience in both residential and commercial property investment and development having started his career at Ideal Homes Woking office training in land acquisition and construction management.
He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in Hillier Parker's UK investment agency team, spending 6 years dealing with the acquisition and disposal of property investments for a range of institutional and private clients. Chris was head hunted to join the Berkeley Group in 1993 in order to spearhead the assembly of an offshore investment portfolio of UK prime assets which quickly achieved a NAV in excess of £250m. After over three years at the Berkeley Group he joined Savills Plc to head Grosvenor Hill Ventures, the firms proprietary trading division where over his 8 year tenure the average project IRR achieved was 37%. During his time at Savills Chris was also heavily involved in the implementation of a number of partnerships, joint ventures and other vehicle structures.
Chris is a founding partner of Levanter and over the last 14 years he has been instrumental in aggregating, structuring, funding and selling a German retail investment Portfolio of approximately Euro 120m, structured debt acquisition and advisory projects in the UK and Europe that have included Battersea Power Station and other Nama projects. More recently Chris has been focused on various land acquisitions for commercial and residential developments for Levanter where he has worked on high quality schemes jointly with Waitrose, Surrey Police, Surrey and Borders Health Partnership, Standard Life and McCarthy and Stone throughout Surrey.
When not at the office, the Rugby club or Stamford Bridge, Chris can be found playing golf at St Georges Hill, skiing, sailing, fishing, walking or at home with his wife Ginette and children Georgia, James and Oliver.
